1999年，台灣「921」震災將曾敏雄原本經營的音響事業歸零，卻意外開展了他的攝影漫漫長路。在曾敏雄具代表性的肖像系列《台灣頭》之外，《風景安靜》是曾敏雄回歸自我內心、追尋自然平靜的作品。本書收錄他走訪母親老家澎湖、行旅蘭嶼、台中、嘉義直至美國新墨西哥州等地的視線蹤跡，並由攝影家張照堂主責影像編輯。

Born in Chayi county in Taiwan, Tseng Miin-Shyong used to design and sell audio equipment for a living. The "921 Earthquake" in 1999 took away all that he had, but opened a new door for him to cooperate with the art critic Shaih Li-Fa and started his career in portrait photography. Tseng began a project named "Centennial Heroes", photographing many well-known artists, writers, musicians and politicians in Taiwan, and held a solo exhibition entitled "Face's Talk" in the National Museum of History in 2003. In 2007, following the footsteps of American painter, Georgia O'Keefee, Tseng wandered to New Mexico. He made up his mind to arrange the works he took in the past 11 years and published the book, Voice Inside. With the solitude and disposition of his moods, he has been looking for the trails left behind space and time to send them back to the harbor of eternity.
